Capturing both space and time has always been a leading passion for current Atlanta resident, Ian Flannery. But fulfilling the role of photographer has been transcended, for he has steadied himself firmly into the path of a visionary. Never relying on cheap, standard camera tricks, Ian prides himself on his extensive metamorphosis in post production. He often takes what is merely just another scene of life to those not in tune with their surroundings and transforms it into a masterpiece of color and light. This perception is driven purely on Ian's love of sight, and what he himself can do to change something standard into something artistically bound by life. Possessing that same passion of imaging with music, Ian has worked extensively capturing artists in a live setting. Modern day musicians and relevant talent such as Big Boi, Common, Ghostface Killah of the WuTang Clan, STS9, The Roots, Prefuse 73, and Rusko are just some of the faces that Flannery has shot with his signature low-light concert photography. In addition to the aforementioned, he's also done numerous individual promotional work with many different people, which has ultimately landed him opportunities with top magazines such as Hip Hop Weekly. However, Ian Flannery's past collaborative work is merely a reflection of his own current creativity with still imaging, and a small promise of what is to come.
